Each year, around the middle of September, Greg Whitsitt (that’s the big boss here), does his best to offer a special fun day to all those participants of the Special Olympics… and their families.

Local organizations get together at the Whitsett house for a day of fun, fishing, and general frivolities – and this year, they just celebrated their 6th annual Special Olympics Family Fun Day.

“This is something that’s really important to me… It hits a little close to home,” says Greg. “My brother had Down Syndrome, and my mother worked at Bost for 35 years. I just want to do what I can for the kids to be able to come out, with their families, and have a fun day together.”

 

We’re all right there with you, Greg. Kudos to these families, and their very strong athletes!
